April 2013

Green Catch hosted a special event through the West Campus Faculty Fellows program at Cornell University.  Students signed up to have a sustainable sushi dinner with professors Drew Harvell and Chuck Green at their home.  Harvell conducts research on coral reef disease ecology and resistance, while Green’s oceanography focuses on the effects of global climate change in the marine ecosystem.  Students were able to ask the professors questions and discuss seafood sustainability in an intimate and informal setting.  Plus, dinner was delicious!

Green Catch co-hosted an event with Cornell Dining at Cornell University!  “Make Your Own Sustainable Sushi Night” took place in one of Cornell’s ten dining halls, the Market Place Eatery located in the Robert Purcell Community Center.  Patrons lined up to have personal, customized rolls made right in front of their eyes!  The best part?  Every seafood option was totally sustainable!
